Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of GCG in waqf management which is becoming increasingly relevant, because it provides a basis for professional management, avoiding abuse, and increasing community trust and participation in waqf efforts. Researchers are interested in discussing the deep relationship between Good Corporate Governance and waqf management. Overall literature review. This aims to provide deeper insight into the importance of GCG in the context of waqf and how the application of GCG principles can increase the efficiency, transparency and social impact of waqf. This research is present to fill the gap in zakat bibliometric research which is still very limited. The method used in this research is qualitative with bibliometric analysis using VOSViewer. The research results show that Good Corporate Governance (GCG) plays a very important role in waqf management. By implementing GCG principles, waqf institutions can increase transparency, accountability and efficiency in managing waqf funds. This helps build public and donor trust and ensures that waqf funds are used wisely to achieve social and religious goals. GCG also ensures conformity with Sharia principles in the context of Islamic waqf, making GCG an important foundation for maintaining the integrity and positive impact of waqf in the long term. As a result, GCG and waqf management are closely related, enabling more professional, ethical and sustainable waqf management.
